As someone conscious about their skin and staying protected from the sun, I was excited to find out about a new product that would allow me to have fun in the sun without damaging my skin.
A few weeks back I attended the international launch for a new and exciting upcoming sunscreen. May I add, not just any regular sunscreen, Solar D is Vitamin D friendly allowing you to get the 'good stuff' when your out in the sunshine.
The event started with a 'Get up and go' smoothie, along with chatter and a great breakfast to follow. On the panel was Grant Denyer, (MC), Dr Ginni Mansberg (general practitioner, author and television regular), along with Solar D's managing director, Mathew Collett as well as brand ambassadors, Jules Sebastian and Renae Ayris.
One in three Australians are deficient in Vitamin D. After numerous studies and collaborations with health professionals Solar D sunscreen was created and will be in stores just in time for summer. Solar D works by blocking out the harmful cancer-causing rays, and lets in the UVB wavelengths. Most people don't know that vitamin D is a hormone produced within the body after soaking up UVB rays over short periods of time.
Solar D is the perfect solution for those who want the natural health benefits from the sun without the cancer-causing rays that come along with it. Solar D provides a way to stay sun smart that is free from parabens, oxybenzone, PABA and is made with the safest possible ingredients. Solar D is available in Daily Use, Active and Kids, it will be in stores including Woolworths, IGA, Target and Priceline this month.

RAW WATERMELON CAKE
I couldn't help but to share this recipe from Aboutlife! This raw watermelon cake is a great idea (especially with summer coming up) for get-togethers or parties!
Raw Watermelon cake recipe
RW, VG, WG, SF
This is one of the easiest and most impressive cakes to bring to any party or to enjoy at home. It is healthy and delicious without adding any sugar.
1 whole watermelon
½ cup chia seeds
21/3 cups coconut milk
1/3 cup coconut oil
1 cup mango, frozen or fresh
1 cup coconut flakes
1 cup sliced fresh seasonal fruit
Blend together all ingredients apart from the watermelon and decoration and let this sit for two hours in the fridge. Place the whole watermelon on a chopping board, cut both ends and turn so it sits flat. With a sharp knife cut the rind carefully, shaping into a sphere that resembles a cake.
Pat the watermelon with a dry towel and then ice with the chilled mixture using a spatula.
Decorate with coconut flakes and fruit.
This week I was invited to attend and celebrate the Natvia Sugar Free Baking launch at The Classic Cupcake Co. We spent the night baking the most amazing sugar-free cupcakes with the assistance of Anna (The Classic Cupcake's Founder) and had the pleasure of meeting Natvia's co-founder Sam Tew. The sugar-free baking master class introduced a new way of baking using Natvia's new baking product and fabulous sugar-free icing. Natvia is a great natural alternative to sugar and the cupcakes taste amazing! It was a great night to remember and was wonderful to meet people who are so passionate about what they do. I would really recommend this product and have been using it in my baking and beverages for the past 2 years as an alternative to sugar. Lets inspire each other to change this society's eating habits for the better!
The sugar-free cupcakes and master class are now open to the public, its a great class and an exciting way to learn how to cook without sugar. Bookings for the master class are now open: http://theccc.com.au/product/classes/sugar-free-cupcakes/
